Farxiga

Farxiga (dapagliflozin) is a prescription medication used to treat Type 2 diabetes, heart failure, chronic kidney disease. An oral medication for type 2 diabetes that also reduces the risk of hospitalization for heart failure and slows kidney disease.

Inhibits SGLT2 in the kidneys, causing excess glucose and sodium to be excreted, lowering blood sugar and easing cardiac strain.

Commonly reported side effects of Farxiga include Genital yeast infections, Urinary tract infections, Dehydration, Low blood pressure, and Rare: ketoacidosis. This is not a complete list — tell your doctor or pharmacist about any side effects you experience.
