Ozempic

Ozempic (semaglutide) is a prescription medication used to treat Type 2 diabetes. Ozempic is a once-weekly injectable medication advertised in Canada for adults with type 2 diabetes. It lowers blood sugar and has been shown to reduce cardiovascular risk in people with diabetes and heart disease.

Ozempic mimics the GLP-1 hormone, which stimulates insulin release in response to high blood sugar, slows stomach emptying, and reduces appetite — resulting in lower blood sugar levels.
